Eagle Information

Information for Eagle Advancement

To ensure you have the latest information regarding Eagle requirements, visit the National Council's Website at this link: http://www.scouting.org/boyscouts/eagleproject/index.html

It is highly recommended to give Life Scouts a complete Eagle Project Booklet as soon as they are advanced to Life Rank.  Eagle Project Booklets can be obtained from the Council office, or downloaded from the National Council's website: here.  There are two different forms at this site, a .pdf file that has to be printed and filled out by hand, and an .rtf file that can be filled out with any good word processing program and then printed for signatures.

Key Points to Remember

  • The Eagle project must be approved by the Scoutmaster, troop committee, AND the District or Council.

  • Significant changes to the project after approval must be submitted for re-approval.

  • Eagle projects should show the candidate's ability to plan, organize and execute the project through leadership.  "REQUIREMENT 5. While a Life Scout, plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school, or your community. The project idea must be approved by your Scoutmaster and troop committee and by the council or district before you start. You must use the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook, No. 18-927, in meeting this requirement."

A copy of the Eagle Scout application can be viewed here.  - Note the specific date requirements.
